I draws faeries. They are from another dimension.
I was over the moon to be offered the window space at the Oriel Bevan Jones Gallery in July/Aug 2016 to show my three waistcoats. At the same time, inside the gallery Dandelion Faerie, Daisy Faerie, Mushroom Faerie and Raspberry Faerie are the last to be shown of the original series.
The faerie faces are based on my children and the wonderful faerie like features of some people that I meet.
The drawings are suspended in pine needles, spun with a web of faerie flux (tiny delicate beads) to illustrate how the faeries cross from one dimension to another.
The whole ensamble is then encapsulated within two pieces of glass.
To date, 22 faeries have been captured!
I also like to paint.
Thought Pattern Paintings was commissioned by Red2Green, Cambridge.
It is a series of 39 canvasses set in a spiralling outward motion beginning with a small central canvas. The canvasses illustrate how thoughts can spiral from one small seed of a thought to it’s final huge conclusion. All the canvasses are linked with a piece of string to represent the link in thoughts.
